Oprah to Start Tweeting Today, World to End
Celebrities onTwitter is nothing new. The idea of seeing famous people join the service has perhaps worn out a bit of its novelty. But then there’s Oprah. Oprah isn’t just a celebrity: She’s, well, Oprah.
The talk show host / force of nature will be hosting the recently crowned Twitter king Ashton Kutcher on her show today. She will also use the opportunity to log her first tweet. Twitter head Evan Williams cryptically announced the event on his blog yesterday: “Tomorrow just became a very big day. (Sorry for the teaser — more later.)” Oprah revealed herself to be the said big event via her Facebook page.
Oprah’s following is loyal, to say the least. So the question is, will the talk show host, who’s already logged nearly 72,000 followers without having posted a single tweet, break Twitter? The microblogging service has already suffered its share of hiccups. Lord only knows what will happen when people begin signing up for the site en masse (it’s a subject that Lance Ulanoff tackles in his latest column).
Is this the beginning of the end or simply the beginning for Twitter? Only the Fail Whale knows for sure.
Spring
Spring is so beautiful. I hope you enjoy this and every spring.
Slumdog Millionaire – Oscars 2009
Slumdog Millionaire’s Oscars success was celebrated in a Mumbai slum in India, where crowds cheered every win and children broke into Bollywood dance numbers.
Bollywood, my hometown of India, is finally Huger than huge! I am so proud of all of the awards that Slumdog has swept this year.

This Video is a beautiful depiction of India. The Ganges is a very spiritual river and important to the Hindu Culture. Watching this brings back many memories for me. Enjoy!
Marry Me!
Directed by Michelle Lehman, last year’s Tropfest Australia winning film, Marry Me, tells a little love story about “a little girl who likes a little boy and a little boy who likes his BMX bike”. The film was inspired by a true story when director, Michelle, at 5 years of age, would chase Jason Mahooney around the school in a pretend wedding dress (her mother’s nightie).
